On Sep. 28, the 7th general meeting of Shanghai Young Entrepreneurs’ Association (SYEA) was held in Shanghai. Around 450 people attended the meeting, including leaders of Shanghai Municipal Committee and Municipal Party Committee, the team members, the honorary chairman and part of directors of the Chairman of the 6th SYEA, members of the 7th SYEA, people in charge of each department of Municipal Party Committee and each subordinate unit, as well as people in charge of the Youth League organizations of related units, etc. During the meeting, new leaders including the Chairman, the Executive Chairman, the Managing Vice Chairman and the Vice Chairman of the 7th SYEA were decided by vote. Mr. Chen Qiyu, Chairman of Fosun Pharma was elected the Vice Chairman of the 7th Shanghai Young Entrepreneurs’ Association (SYEA).

On the forum of “The China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone - Opportunities and Challenges with Youth Entrepreneurs”, entrepreneurs from all sides shared their tentative ideas toward the “Free Trade Zone”, and analyzed the opportunities and challenges that the Free Trade Zone brings to entrepreneurs.

Compared with last meeting, the members of the 7th SYEA involves more comprehensive areas, including strategic emerging industries such as astronautics and aeronautics, mechanical manufacturing, construction and transportation, real estate, financial investment, E-business, bio-medicine, culture and media, modern agriculture, automotive industry, environment protection, new energy, etc. The quantity and proportion of members from the non-public sector of the economy has increased based on the 6th SYEA. Meanwhile, there are excellent representatives from legal, accounting, consultative and cultural creativity industries, world-renowned enterprises, as well as first-class youth entrepreneurs from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and foreign countries.

Shanghai Young Entrepreneurs’ Association (SYEA) is a non-profit social organization under the leadership of the Communist Youth League Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and with independent legal person qualification. Since its foundation in May 1991, its influence and prestige is improving day by day, and has been an important organizational support for Shanghai Youth League's service to the economic construction.
